The Cardiac Procedures Report released by the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (PHC4) examines the performance of Pennsylvania acute care hospitals for six types of cardiac procedures: coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for patients who had a heart attack, PCI for patients who did not have a heart attack, surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR), surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) with coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Reported are hospital ratings for in-hospital mortality, 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day readmission, and extended postoperative length of stay. Also included are the volume of cases and hospital charges.
