Employer Advisor Opportunity for National Alliance PCORI Obesity Dissemination Campaign
The National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions is recruiting employers interested in engaging as part of an Advisory Council for the next PCORI Dissemination Campaign.
Building on prior PCORI Dissemination Work, this campaign will focus on translating patient-centered research into practical resources for employers and healthcare purchasers. This next effort will focus specifically on obesity and will draw from the PCORI-funded study, which tested an intensive lifestyle intervention delivered through primary care clinicals with support from trained health coaches for patients with obesity.
Through this campaign the National Alliance will use the study findings and advisor input to develop employer-facing, patient-centered resources that help employers better understand the lived experience of people with obesity, barriers to accessing comprehensive care, and opportunities to support more evidence-based, patient-centered approaches through benefits and workplace health strategies.
The National Alliance is currently identifying a small group of advisors who can help inform the direction of the campaign and ensure the work is grounded in employer, patient, clinician, and stakeholder perspectives.
