THE 2026 LEAPFROG HOSPITAL SURVEY OPENED APRIL 1
In this year’s Survey, Leapfrog has placed even greater emphasis on issues that directly impact patients and families.
This includes refining questions on reducing boarding in the Emergency Department (ED), when admitted patients remain in the ED because no inpatient beds are available. This poses a serious risk to patient safety and adds strain for both patients and the health care workforce.
Leapfrog also expanded its focus on diagnostic errors, a leading cause of death and disability, as it works toward publishing national standards in 2027.
