LVBCH Recognized as Recertification Provider by Society for Human Resource Management

SHRM Recertification Credits Bring Additional Value to Members

Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare (LVBCH) is pleased to announce its Recertification Provider Status with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. With this status, LVBCH is able to offer programs that qualify for recertification credits for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials.

As a member of the SHRM Recertification Provider network, LVBCH will be able to award professional development credits (PDCs) for LVBCH Educational Programs that relate to the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (SHRM BASK).

SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams were launched in 2015 after years of research to define the behavior competencies and knowledge relevant to today’s global HR professionals. The SHRM BASK is the framework for recertification exams. The SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications are the premier professional certifications in the human resources field with more than 120,000 certificants in over 105 countries. SHRM’s certifications are accredited by the Buros Center for Testing, the world’s premier test review center. Once certified, HR professionals can earn PDCs from more than 3,400 recertification providers offering a variety of educational options. A mobile app and other tools make the recertification process simple and efficient.

“LVBCH has been offering HR related content for decades.  Now, as a SHRM Recertification Provider, we can continue to offer the quality educational programming our members know and expect, while providing the professional development credits our HR professionals need as a value-add of LVBCH membership,” said Carl Seitz, President, LVBCH. “Providing educational opportunities for HR professionals and supporting them in maintaining their professional certifications is an additional way LVBCH supports member employers and their employees.”

LVBCH is proud to provide recertification credits to SHRM-certified employees of member organizations, beginning January 2024 for a variety of in-person and virtual educational opportunities. Registration is currently open for several events, visit www.lvbch.com for more information.
