LVBCH Announces 1st Annual Women’s Health Summit
LVBCH Will Host Inaugural Women’s Health Summit at Glasbern Inn in September
Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare (LVBCH) will hold its first annual Lehigh Valley Women’s Health Summit on Tuesday, September 9, from 8 am to 2 pm at the Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville. Sponsored by Progyny, topics will include women’s heart health, menopause, women’s health advocacy, post-partum recovery and much more.
In her keynote presentation, Bridging the Gap: Evolving Benefits to Support Women’s Health Milestones, Andrea Stelk, VP, Commercial Solutions, Progyny, will discuss next steps in elevating the standard of care for women in the workforce and how these improvements will benefit organizations. As LVBCH’s newest endorsed purchasing partner, Progyny provides cohesive women’s health and fertility services.
“Whether starting a family or reaching a health milestone – women have long needed to navigate specialized care in a silo, filling in care and knowledge gaps on their own,” Stelk says. “The recent adoption of fertility and maternity benefits has meant that more people have access to crucial support during these milestone health moments. However, as we look to the future of fertility and women’s health benefits, we see further opportunity for patient journeys to become coordinated, digitally enabled, and personalized – addressing conditions and health needs that are both unique to women and present differently in each woman.”
Other speakers and their presentation topics include: • Allison Hess, Vice President of Health Services, Geisinger, Empowering Women’s Heart Health: Understanding, Prevention, and Care.• Jamie Grossman, PhD, MBA, National Account Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Menopause Matters.• Lori Taylor, Wellness Coaching Operations Supervisor, Health Advocate, Advocating for Care in Women’s Health• Maranda Fredrich, Assistant Vice President, Employee Services & HR Compliance, St. Luke’s University Health Network, Employer Experience Implementing Women’s Health Benefits
