KEYNOTE - Bridging the Gap: Evolving Benefits to Support Women's Health Milestones

Whether starting a family or reaching a health milestone – women have long needed to navigate specialized care in a silo, filling in care and knowledge gaps on their own. The recent adoption of fertility and maternity benefits has meant that more people have access to crucial support during these milestone health moments. However, as we look to the future of fertility and women’s health benefits, we see further opportunity for patient journeys to become coordinated, digitally enabled and personalized – addressing conditions and health needs that are both unique to women and present in women differently. In this session, learn more about what’s next to elevate the standard of care for women in the workforce and how organizations are only set to benefit.

Empowering Women's Heart Health: Understanding, Prevention and Care

We sometimes find ourselves caring for others and putting our own health on hold. In this session, we will focus on understanding women’s health, prevention and caring for our hearts.

Watch now:

Menopause Matters

The hormonal changes associated with menopause can affect physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. Symptoms associated with menopause include hot flashes/vasomotor symptoms (VMS) and sleep disturbances, which negatively impact women’s quality of life, where there is an unmet need for effective therapies. However, there are a variety of non-hormonal and hormonal interventions that can help alleviate symptoms of menopause and lead to improvements in women’s health and well-being during this phase of their lives.

Advocating for Care in Women’s Health

Studies show women often receive delayed and or, misdiagnosis, due to symptoms being dismissed as anxiety, stress, hormonal reasons, etc., or not displaying the “typical” presentation of symptoms expected for the likely diagnosis. The statistics are shocking.

Watch now:

Postpartum Recovery and Workforce Readiness: The Critical Role of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Her discussion will be around the awareness of pelvic health, meditation, breathing techniques, who needs this, why they need it, and how the process works along with continuous care. Using evidence-based data, we will demonstrate the impact of pelvic floor PT on the postpartum population on their return to prior level of function. With this in mind, our goal is to explore considerations and resources employers and members of the Human Resources community can take to support people with pelvic floor dysfunction while maximizing return to work.

Watch now:

Family Planning Benefits: Considerations, Impact, and the Progyny Partnership

Employer experience bringing fertility/women’s health services to their employees including experience with benefit design. Women’s health, until recently considered a niche subset of the overall healthcare market, has almost doubled since 2019 to what is expected to be a $18 billion world-wide industry by the end of 2024. This growth is expected to continue by at least 4% per year through 2030. With the understanding that women utilize more health care than men and have a leading role in the majority of a family’s health care, more employers are beginning to address women’s health as part of their organizations’ overall strategy.
